Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Skype throughout our company as an instant messenger, I rarely use it for phone calls or videos, but other employees do.

Pros and Cons

Skype is great for instant communication
Skype is good for getting an answer quick
It's great for VoIP.

I kinda wish I could reach my Google Hangouts contacts in Skype.
Sometimes it's hard to find a user without asking them for their info.

Return on Investment

Skype instant messaging gets me quick answers.
Skype saves me time on the phone.
Skype allows me to say yes to my customers faster.

I've never needed support for Skype, but Microsoft maintains a large and thorough knowledge base online. Also because Skype is a Microsoft product, it is very easy and intuitive for any Windows user to operate. I've never had problems with Skype and so I've never required any kind of support. I grew up with computers and I find it easy to use!

Skype is great for communicating with people within and outside my organization. Some of our backend people work remotely, we use Skype to get an answer while talking with a customer on the phone. i also use Skype to send files.
