Overall Satisfaction with Skype for Business

Skype for business is used accross the company. It enabled us to to communicate more easily, reducing the need for emails and phone calls and allowing urgent matters to be dealt with quickly and brought to the attention of the relevant team members quickly and easily.

Pros

  • Allows quick communication with faster responses than waiting on email replies
  • Reduces the amount of time spent on calls

Cons

  • On a Mac we can't currently get skype to save a chat history, which would be useful.
  • We have had issues where some users have not been able to use the software on the first install and have had to reinstall, which is obviously inconvenient.
  • It would be good if you could integrate with existing skype, and have a business section.
  • Cut down the cost of internal and external business calls.
  • Reduced time spent on emails.
  • Enabled important items to be addressed quickly.
Appropriate for cutting down time spent on the phone in split offices. Good to keep the team in contact and for fast responses. Wouldn't recommend if you have a team that is inclined to spend time chatting on it.
