Overall Satisfaction with Skype for Business

I've been using Skype For Business (formerly Microsoft Lync) for over 5 years as one of the main communication tools for our business. We use it throughout our business to communicate between staff, project members and also clients over the Internet.

Primarily we use it for voice communication, but we regularly use it host live presentations and online meetings with our clients. It's a professional and valuable tool, which we use extensively to communicate effectively with clients and business partners in other countries.
  • Good clear, reliable, online conversations.
  • Online meetings and conferences.
  • Easy to use, integrates with Microsoft Office software.
  • Currently you can only assign telephone numbers to Skype For Business users in 5 countries. We need support for our country, so we can consider replacing our PBX!!!
  • Out of the box, integration with VOIP hardware.
  • More online PBX functionality. e.g. ability to set up incoming call queues, routing and messages.
  • Professional tool allows for effective demonstrations to clients.
  • Reduction in communication costs.
  • Next best thing to visiting client on site. Travel cost saving.
It's a great all round tool for communication, online meetings and presentations. As part of the Office 365 package, it is also cost effective with little administrative overhead.

It's great across large organisations with offices in many countries. The upcoming online PBX functionality will potentially save a lot of costs for small businesses.
