Overall Satisfaction with Skype for Business

Skype for Business is being used across our entire organization. We have several locations throughout the country, this has facilitated communication between employees and departments. It has also addressed the difficulties in training across long distances with its screen sharing and collaboration tools.
  • Skype for Business does screen sharing particularly well due to its ease of use; users are able to learn how to use it with little training.
  • Skype for Business facilitates web meetings as well, due to its integration with Outlook.
  • Skype for Business increases productivity due to its collaboration tools and ability to see online status for quick communication.
  • From a management perspective, while customizing Skype for Business for your individual organization's needs is possible, it would be nice to see a native application that facilitates this without the use of PowerShell.
  • Skype for Business has allowed our widespread organization to advance to a more interconnected structure.
  • Skype for Business has saved our organization on costs related to web meetings.
  • Skype for Business has improved our ability to train users throughout the company.
We selected Skype for Business due to packaged pricing from Microsoft, however other messaging and collaboration products never seemed to be fully capable of full integration with all of the features available with Skype for Business.
Skype for Business is well suited for fast paced organizations looking to increase productivity through collaboration and easy communication. While I would say that Skype for Business is suitable for nearly any situation due to the great tools it provides, very small localized organizations may not experience the overwhelming benefits of Skype for Business.
