Overall Satisfaction with Slack

Slack was used to collab amongst teams and had quick and easy chats where necessary to get information across easily, especially through the beginning of the pandemic. We found in the end that Microsoft Teams was a better option for the size of our organization and handled our needs better.
  • Instant Messaging.
  • Easy to manage chats.
  • Simple design.
  • Better search of chat history.
  • Find files easier.
  • Instant messaging.
Found Microsoft Teams to be the better solution to manage all of our conversations, threads, and collaboration and included additional tools for hosting live events, webinars, and integration with file sharing from one drive; and SharePoint was huge as well for us to make everything easier. We are happy with the change to Teams.

Do you think Slack delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Slack's feature set?

No

Did Slack live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Slack go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Slack again?

No

I think it's good for a small team or org but really doesn't do what's needed to be done for larger organizations. I'm not saying I wouldn't use it again but I wasn't a huge fan of it compared to Microsoft Teams and the additional features we get from using that service instead.
