Overall Satisfaction with Slack
Slack is our internal communication application. Where customer communication takes place via email, we communicate as a team internally through Slack. We use it to compartmentalize communications into different projects and place much needed information within those channels to provide our teams with what they need to succeed in their tasks (e.g. Canvas, workflows, etc.)
- Canvas
- Channels for different topics/projects
- Notification customization
- That Huddle ringing music...don't you change a thing
- Integrations with other apps can be a little buggy
- There is only a vertical list view of channels. Perhaps have the option of a "gallery" view for those who are more comfortable with that view. (iOS Finder has this feature)
- Slack brings our 22-person company together to talk about projects
- When managing over 100 projects a year, Slack makes it easy to parse communications where they need to be
- Slack's notifications are easy to customize and have fit our team's needs well
I see monday.com as a more task-oriented platform where I see Slack as a more chat/communication platform. Both have strengths and weaknesses, but we much prefer Slack for our internal business communications. Slack also is more popular with gamers, which monday.com doesn't really appeal to, to my understanding.
