Overall Satisfaction with Slack

Our company has a high number of remote employees and Slack is the primary way we communicate via messages and huddles. I am a payroll manager and Slack makes it easy to reach out to employees for quick corrections or data that may be needed to move payroll forward. Employees can also reach out to me quickly for assistance with any questions they may have.

Cons

  • Sometimes have issues with sound during huddles
  • Makes remote work feel closer to office environment

Slack is well suited for quick responses. Sometimes an email may get overlooked. Its less appropriate for sending important documents or sensitive information.
