Overall Satisfaction with SmartRecruiters
Extreme growth, with no ATS, prompted us to find an affordable, effective recruitment tool. SmartRecruiters fit the bill. We now have the entire recruitment team of 8 as users.
Pros
- Easy to scan through, and sort, candidate applications.
- Provides a, one click, tool for notifying candidates of your next steps....i.e., interviewing, declining to interview, etc.
- Email notification of new candidate applications.
Cons
- Within the job posting area, formatting or, reformatting text, can be difficult.
- There is no use of the "back" button allowed. If you purposely, or not purposely, hit the "back" botton you will lose all of your work from that session.
- We have encountered a problem with "evergreen" postings. We recruit for the same position title, within a large geographic area. The SmartRecruiters system starts to see multiple positions, with the same title, as spam. This results in the position not being posted. We have worked with Customer Service to resolve this "glitch" and seem to experience less of this at the current time.
- The impact that SmartRecruiters has had on our hiring, has been tremendous. We were a paper and pencil, spreadsheet, hiring Team, with upwards of 50 hires/month. We now have an organized, effective tool, and hire at least twice that number with ease.
We also use CareerBuilder. Several of the users on our Team, myself included, have discontinued their use of CB in favor of solely using SR.
