Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Dameware Remote Everywhere (DRE)

We use Dameware Remote Everywhere to support remote clients in both unattended modes as well as on-demand. This product addresses the need for remote support when users are either on the road or quarantined due to Covid-19. Unattended access is usually set up on machines for remote maintenance and monitoring to make support more efficient especially in time-sensitive situations.

Pros

  • Unattended remote access
  • Ability to quickly and easily distribute the remote software client
  • Allows users a painless way to connect with tech support for a myriad of issues

Cons

  • Connectivity to a helpdesk/knowledgebase would be nice feature so users can do self-help
  • Offering a branded version of the client/agent would be a nice touch for businesses
  • A web-only version of the technician console for remote support would be a nice feature
  • Enabled the company to make more profit by allowing for remote support of users
  • We have noticed productivity boosts as technicians are able to assist quickly.
  • Customers find it easier to do remote support and ask for this service more often.
Dameware DRE is a powerhouse tool that in my opinion blows these other products out of the water. Each of these competitors offer great services but at a cost as they require multiple subscriptions or a pay to upgrade to the latest version (TeamViewer). DRE is a simple "one stop shop" where everything you need is readily at your fingertips.

DRE is a great tool for any business offering remote support. It is more affordable than a lot of other products as well as offers unattended AND on-demand access in one product. Many other competitors offer unattended and on-demand services however ask for two separate subscriptions which is inconvenient and more costly.
