Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor

We use SolarWinds Server and Application Monitor to closely monitor all of our important infrastructure and interfaces across our organization. It allows us real time alerts if any mission-critical applications or hardware develop problems. This often allows us to rectify those issues before they potentially impact users.

Pros

  • Physical port monitoring
  • Monitoring of resources during peak usage
  • Monitoring servers for outages

Cons

  • Finding root cause sometimes requires drilling into a few things with added clicks.
  • It has minimized downtime
  • Increased productivity

SolarWinds representatives are quick to answer questions and resolve any problems we have had. They are always polite and knowledgeable.
The initial screens can be a little daunting but once you learn the ropes of the application it's pretty user friendly overall.
It is well suited for medium sized organizations who want a cost effective way to monitor critical pieces of their infrastructure.
