Overall Satisfaction with Spiff

We use Spiff to manage our commission calculations and payments.

  • We were using spreadsheets, which were becoming unwieldy as we scaled. Spiff helped get all of this in one place and automate much of the math.
  • End users have complained that reporting is somewhat unclear.
As an admin, it's been great for troubleshooting problems and has been a refreshing reprieve from doing everything manually. I think a lot of the end-user issues are largely due to our own plan complexity and their lack of interest in the user training.
No, people tend to just ask questions regardless.
I liked the level of service spiff provided, as well as the option to not use a spreadsheet oriented interface. QuotaPath and captivate were both reasonably compelling. Xactly seemed terrible for SMB companies, their pitch was basically that you could buy a base model and they'd try and upsell you all the time.

Spiff has been a great resource for capturing our (relatively complex) commission plans. It's nice to not work out of spreadsheets/excel lookalikes. The customer service has been top-notch.
