Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
Splashtop was rolled out to facilitate secure "in-office" work by remote staff. It's used by hybrid staff (almost the entire organization) on their at-home days. It allows for easy, multi-monitor access so that staff can remain equally productive regardless of location. It's more secure and easier to manage than the alternatives we looked into.
- Secure remote access
- Multi-monitor support
- Ease of deployment
- Remote access to audio (microphone and speakers) should be available in all plans.
- Sales support is slow to respond at times.
- Facilitates a very secure hybrid workforce model without purchasing extra hardware, allowing for office downsizing.
- The TCO is very reasonable. Management costs are trivial.
While we don't use Splashtop for remote support, it perfectly meets our remote access needs. The fact that it supports MFA and includes encryption set it above most competitors. And honestly, the cost is quite reasonable given the featureset, which again sets it will above the competition.
Onboarding was totally straightforward. Getting user data entered into the dashboard was clear and easy. Deploying the required components to remote staff was, again, clear and easy. We did a test deploy with 5 users that took less than an hour to set up. Once purchased, it was probably another hour to get the remaining staff set up.
Yes - AnyDesk. We found it to be unstable.
