Square POS isn't just for squares...great for everyone!
Overall Satisfaction with Square POS
Square POS is used across the whole organization. It keeps track of inventory, sends and track invoices, syncs with QuickBooks, and can have more than one device synced. It enables the business to be mobile while still maintaining a steady brick-and-mortar location. The two biggest benefits are invoicing and inventory. Being able to instantly keep track of both and have reports sent via email allows me to be constantly up-to-date regarding what is happening with the business at all times.
Pros
- Creating and tracking invoices. You can develop a database, which helps to ensure that invoices are going to the correct contact person and then notifies me when they are paid or overdue.
- Inventory. Square makes it very easy to keep track of what inventory we have and compare it to what is actually on the shelves.
Cons
- Keep your iPad up to date. When the software needs updated, Square gets slow and clunky. It needs the most updated versions of everything.
- The investment is small and completely worth it. It enables me to have my business follow me and I can check in from any other device.
I chose Square because it is more well-known and widely used than Clover. It also can do marketing, inventory, syncs with QuickBooks, and, if desired, can have employees track hours. It really covers all the bases and becomes a one-stop-shop for everything small business. I'm not familiar if Clover does all of those things, but Square is already familiar with customers and they enjoy the ease of the system.
