Overall Satisfaction with Squarespace

Squarespace is our main website provider. For many, it is the first impression we make with a client or business partner/colleague. We describe our services and what makes us unique in a simple website. In addition to displaying these basic text descriptions, Squarespace does so with some great design elements. Every business needs a website and web presence. Managing a website for a small organization can be overwhelming and very technical. Squarespace offers something that is easy to use and creates a sophisticated presentation.
  • Simple to use.
  • Terrific templates what can be customized with enough options to make a site look unique.
  • Simple instructions to set up your site with connections to third parties like Google Analytics and GoDaddy.
  • There are graphics options and organization elements of the website that could be improved.
  • Making it easier to link to other sites and services such as Medium and Twitter.
  • Squarespace saved us a significant monthly expense when we took control and launched our new website and discontinued the third party site designer and manager.
  • It has saved us time and allowed for much more timely updates since Squarespace is simple and intuitive, I can do most things myself.
Squarespace is superior in its design and cost. Other solutions do not offer templates and customization at the same level and quality as Squarespace. The cost and ability to perform updates myself is of tremendous value. The other services we used and considered became very frustrating. Technical issues were difficult to resolve with that service while Squarespace has always been simple and responsive during the couple of times I have had issues or questions.
I think Squarespace's strengths are in two areas. First, small businesses/single freelancer types can benefit greatly. We have used third-party services which are much more difficult to manage and use. Customization and organization can largely be done on your own - and the instructions they offer are clear and helpful. Squarespace is also very cost-effective. Secondly, businesses that want a clean interface and presentation. Squarespace doesn't seem well suited for complex websites such as having a large e-commerce catalog.
