Overall Satisfaction with Squarespace
It's a quick solution that doesn't require weeks of web development and available at a generally low cost. Squarespace is also a great option for a simple landing page or temporary solution. We currently use it in our digital department on a limited basis. I also use Squarespace as my personal portfolio.
- A wide variety of templates are available, which can help save a lot of time on the front end of a project.
- I do not need to know how to code in order to build a beautiful website.
- I can make edits at any time very easily, without involving a developer.
- Drag and drop features don't always work like they should.
- Many templates require or restrict to column layout.
- I am not confident on the level of safety, especially when collecting information via forms and processing e-commerce payments.
- Easy to navigate and not time-consuming.
- Good solution for clients with small budgets.
- Doesn't require developer resources.
In comparison to WordPress, Squarespace is cleaner and easier to use in my opinion. However, WordPress seems to have some additional plugins that Squarespace does not have – with certain projects, the WordPress plugins are necessary. Squarespace has a great customer service team offering that I have enjoyed working with from time to time. I like that I can contact Squarespace directly at any time across a wide-variety of channels.
