Survey Monkey is used by the entire organization, we use it to collect information for pre-training information gathering from registered participants in our programs and for post-training evaluation purposes to better improve our services and training offerings. It provides a quick and easy way to quickly gather information and download the results for reporting on our grant obligations.
  • You have the choice to collect information anonymously which end users often appreciate and tends to lead to more honest results.
  • Very easy to use, the user interface could not be more intuitive
  • Lots of options for how to collect results from users (email, direct link, embed code, share on Facebook)
  • Would like to see more options for standard themes to choose from
  • More customized products for our clients, pre-training surveys allow us to focus on the specific needs of individuals at each training
  • Ability to easily show statistical results to our grantors
It's been several years since I've looked at other options since I've been so happy with the product, I initially chose it because it was free and it does everything I need. (Again, the new free version has limited capabilities.)
Building surveys is fast and easy. It's so intuitive that anyone in the organization can jump in and set up a survey without training which is extremely beneficial to our productivity.
I'm grandfathered in to the "Unlimited" account for free but it looks like the current options for a free account "Basic" are fairly restrictive. You now have to pay to export your survey results and reports, that's unfortunate. I would probably look for other alternatives at a free level if I was forced to pay for those options because they are so central to the functionality of the product.
