Survey Sparrow is currently being used across several departments in our organization. Customer support is using it for feedback on the quality of support while marketing is using it to gain valuable insights and ideas from our customers. We use Survey Sparrow to get valuable feedback from our customers and website visitors so we can improve how to serve them in all aspects of our business. With past survey software we used, getting people to actually fill out the survey was a challenge and made it difficult to gather enough feedback to make informed business decisions. Survey Sparrow uses a mobile chat-like interface that is much more engaging for users and we find it greatly improves response rates.
Pros
- Creating and sending surveys is very easy and intuitive, no instructions needed. The interface is clean and inviting.
- The mobile-first interface greatly increases response rates form my experience. Filling out a survey is like text messaging on your phone.
- Surveys are more conversational in tone rather than an answer to the question style of the survey most other companies offer.
- The feature set is not as robust as some other survey software but its simplicity makes it easy to use all around.
- Customer support is very responsive.
Cons
- There are limits as far as features and design options, and it would be nice to have more customization options.
- The reporting and analyzing of survey data needs improvement. Exported reports do not show answers to custom text answers, and you can only read them online.
- Needs more template options for specific use cases.
- With a few short surveys, we were able to introduce improvements that greatly increased ROI.
- With NPS scoring surveys we were able to catch customer service challenges before they became an issue with our customers.
- Since Survey Sparrow is so easy to use we regularly create feedback surveys both for our customers and on our website.
We originally used Survey Monkey but found customer support to be unresponsive when we needed it and also the style of surveys you could create were bland and boring, leading to lower response rates. We chose Survey Sparrow for their mobile-first and chat-style survey interface because we have a mobile audience and have found they prefer this style of survey better.
