Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

I have worked at hospitals where TeamViewer was used by IT and gave us access to services to connect to staff members for training and support. It has helped us connect directly to users and see what problems they are having rather than waste time describing in email.

Pros

  • Quick connection ability enables problems to resolved fast.
  • Easy to switch between monitors on connections utilizing multiple screens.
  • Simple enough for almost anyone to use.

Cons

  • I would like the ability to select to view only a few of multiple monitors. Let's say a person has 3 monitors, but I only need to view two at the same time.
  • Sometimes, surprisingly, the panel where users read off their connections credentials, is not clear enough, and they read the wrong ones. Not certain there is anything that will ever truly get that through to end users, but maybe it could be designed in some better way.
  • I am not in charge of purchasing, but I believe that in a large scale organization this would be a positive return on investment.
TeamViewer provides a solid platform for IT support, and I feel confident in implementing it from a security standpoint. The interface, install, and management is clean and well established, more so than many competitors.
Well suited to IT helpdesks and large-scale projects requiring a direct connection to remote users.
