I have been using the program for many years. It allows remote access to computers, first used only at work, now adapted for personal use. The program is in the free trial, for the house is great.
TeamViewer is a convenient way to do technical support of users in a large organization. A program is installed on the remote computer, and then the programmer or other technical support specialist comes to this computer with a login and password. Login and password can be made static, and can be dynamic. After connecting to a remote computer, the technician sees the user's desktop and can perform any actions on the computer independently. TeamViewer allows you to visually demonstrate something to the user right on his screen.
Using the program you can correspond with users, organize video and audio conferences.
I use the program for remote access to a home computer when I'm not at home. Very often there is a need to take a file or photo from a home computer to a work computer. In this case, TeamViewer always helps me. I just go to my home machine remotely and copy the file to the working machine.
- Cross-platform program. Even with a smartphone, you can access a remote device in a couple of clicks.
- High speed of the application. Does not consume a lot of PC resources.
- An ability to chat and confer with a user during a remote session.
- Very low data transfer rate when downloading or downloading files between devices.
- The free version of the program does not have a full set of functions, the full costs a lot of money.
- It is impossible to connect from an older version of the program to a new one. For example, having a license for version 10 at work, I will not connect to a computer with 11 anymore.
- The ability to remotely connect with customers allows you to save a lot of time and budget for support. This is the main economic advantage from the company's point of view.
- There is no fear to forget something on the work computer or to strictly control the presence of a copy of the documents on the USB flash drive.
Teamviewer has a more user-friendly interface and settings for differentiating user rights. This is a necessity when combining work activity and "home". Also teamviewer actively develops towards solving problems and tasks of users by simple methods.
