Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use TeamViewer with colleagues, friends, and family mainly to help with different technical or computer issues. I like how you're able to take control of someone else's computer and demonstrate to them how to do a certain task/process or use a specific software to help them. Many people are visual learners so it helps to show people a solution. In addition, it's much easier to solve a tech issue this way when you're helping someone who's not tech-savvy because giving instructions over the phone isn't always the most effective way.

I think TeamViewer is fairly similar to all these programs. I wouldn't necessarily recommend one more over the other. My only comment, as mentioned before, would be that if you really want a remote desktop control feature, then I highly recommend using TeamViewer. The other programs listed above don't have this feature so that's definitely what sets TeamViewer apart.

I think TeamViewer is appropriate for both personal and workplace scenarios. If you need to web conference and show colleagues something on your computer you can use TeamViewer, but there are certainty plenty of other programs that allow you to do so. My favorite feature of TeamViewer is the remote desktop capability. As someone who has parents or other family members who always ask for tech support, it's much easier to just remotely control their desktop and fix the issue instead of trying to resolve it by speaking over the phone. This saves both parties time and frustration. The program is also incredibly user friendly so it's not terribly difficult to set up and start conferencing/screen sharing/etc.
