Overall Satisfaction with Thinkific

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are now using Thinkific as our primary Learning Management System, credit and course tracker, and are in transition to making it our main website. The product has addressed many of our needs, specifically streamlining all of our course registrations and sales into one central location. This has been integral to helping our company grow, while also making work more efficient for our team.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Simplifies the navigation and registration process for customers
Offers a high-end learning platform to improve the user experience
Highly focused on sales, with several options and features to make sure your courses are SEEN by potential registrants
Excellent automation features
Looks modern and professional

Cons

Completion certificates need to be more customizable, seamless, professional
Course Management - should be able to click on a course and see all enrollments, orders, etc.
Group orders and custom registration questions
Zoom integrations are disappointing
Need a better way to of tracking and controlling completion/attendance as a course/site admin. Should not have to depend on Thinkific to mark users complete, should not have to create an extra step for attendees to complete.

Usability

From an admin perspective, Thinkific can have some frustrating limitations and some clunky features. That said, the platform is always improving and I'm looking forward to see what new changes they have in store for us. From a customer perspective, Thinkific makes it super easy to navigate through pages and I love how our students can now keep all of their training records in one central location.

I think that Thinkific has a lot of the same features as many other products, except these features are all found in one central location (for the most part) vs having to use several different apps and platforms. While there are some things that other platforms do better, like the certificates of completion for example, I do believe that Thinkific has great potential to be one of the TOP learning management systems available.

Likelihood to Recommend

This would depend on their type of offerings. If this was for a completely online course company, I would say that this is a great solution. Unfortunately Thinkific has been a little more difficult trying to integrate live and online events. Attendance tracking, especially for live events, is bulky and in need of better solutions.
