Overall Satisfaction with Tipalti
Tipalti is primarily used by the Finance & Accounting department, with the rest of the company relying on the approval request emails to approve expenses. It solves multiple problems for us, including: reminding approvers to approve bills timely, simplifying the vendor payment process for AP to initiate payments, enhancing security around vendor registrations and banking details, and streamlining bill processing and approvals.
- Tipalti simplifies the vendor payment process on our end. We send one wire to Tipalti and they send out from there based on the vendor registration, instead of our AP having to manage and process multiple types of payments.
- Tipalti enhances the security around payment details and vendor registrations. It's critical nowadays to protect banking details, and Tipalti puts the onus on the vendor to manage and secure their details instead of us bearing the burden for managing their remittance.
- Tipalti simplifies the bill processing time and effort. Our AP can go into the bills pending review and simply go down the list for final touches and send for approval, rather than having to go gather from various emails/locations and do the entire process by hand.
- The biggest area for improvement would be syncing the PDFs for bills into our ERP (NetSuite), so if management wants to look at the actual bill it exists in NetSuite, since most of them don't want to go into a separate system to look at a bill.
- Another area of improvement would be the ability to get one line of a bill in a 3-way PO match approved by a different approver without breaking the link to the PO. Approving the line as a 'Non-PO Line' is helpful, but if the amount is too large I have to go outside the system to get the approval.
- Tipalti has increased efficiency in bill process by at least 3x.
- Tipalti has great increased the days to approve on a bill thanks to their reminders.
