Overall Satisfaction with Trello
I track new hires coming in, and I track employees offboarding and leaving the company in this software program. I also track any movement within the company when there are items needing to get done, and on occasion, if we are upgrading computers or equipment, it will sometimes be documented in Trello. Sometimes after a template is archived, you lose some of the information as it is no longer visible but, of course, can be pulled up. I would like to see an actual Archive folder or file in plain view so that I can click in there and find older employees' "already done" cards. There may be a way to do this; I am just not as familiar with Trello and all that it can do yet.
Pros
- Helps track employees "to do before hire", "to do after hired," and "to do when employee leaves"
- Provides important information on each employee like personal information along with data collected during the time of hire and during employment time
- Allows more than one person to be assigned to a task per employee and will remain open until everyone involved has completed their task
Cons
- Needs to be locked down a little tighter once a card is created instead of allowing just anyone to go in and make changes
- I have only worked with Trello this past year, but I feel its a great task writing tool for each person to do their part so no problems here
- More visibility with cards already done or completed on the main dashboard
- Bringing new hires in and completing all that is required on the card
- Offboarding employees to make sure we have crossed all our "t" and dotted our "i's" before the employee departs the company
- Other departments use it for tracking and projects, I believe, so we are using this tool in many areas of our company
- Keeps us on track with employees
- Helps delegate to others in the company
- Holds us accountable when tasks are assigned
Trello is more in-depth and task-driven, whereas 15Five is more accountable and has personal weekly goals and accomplishments. Trello can be divided up to allow others to do the listed task, and all employees work together to accomplish and complete each required ticket/card per employee. But 15Five does alert you and notify you when it needs to be completed when Trello does not.
