Overall Satisfaction with Cision Communications Cloud

At ACHC we decided to work with Cision (Trendkite)* to find relevant industry articles to share with our customers through our monthly e-newsletter. It also allows us to keep tabs on what is going on in our industry and what people are saying about our company and our competitors. We have also used the Cision Communications Cloud to identify news outlets to pitch stories to.

*This review was written before Cision acquired TrendKite. TrendKite is now part of Cision Communications Cloud.
  • The staff at Cision are all very welcoming, helpful and enthusiastic about the platform. I have been pleased with all the training our company has received and there is always someone available to answer our questions in a timely manner.
  • The dashboard is very user-friendly and give you a lot of options to look at. We especially love the ability to customize which charts and graphs we see and the timeframe.
  • The social amplification feature is really cool and helps us identify which stories are really resonating with our audience.
  • The reports are beautiful and simple, making it easy for use to share our findings with the internal team.
  • I wish there was more ability to edit the reports to add in multiple charts/images per page and link the images out.
  • I am still working to get the searches completely where I want them. The filters seem to work to some degree but I am still getting some content that isn't relevant showing up in my searches.
  • Meltwater
The support staff and training we received with Cision was so much better than what we received with Meltwater. Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite) is clean and easier to work in. The reports are great, and the dashboard gives us more information such as the social amplification. The sales team with Cision was also great! They offered a competitive price and shared with us the differences between their platform and their competitors without tearing them down (which is much more than I can say for the Meltwater team!) I was surprised at the sales tactics I experienced with the Meltwater team when I told them I was looking into Cision. They lied about the functionality that Cision Communications Cloud has and when I confronted them about it they were very rude and off-putting. Cision was able to give us a great deal and I will say it has been worth every penny for the great service and user-friendly platform.
Great platform for media monitoring and seeing how big of an impact certain articles have. It is easy to use and the staff is ready and willing to help if anything comes up that you can't figure out on your own. The reporting feature puts it over the top compared to other platforms we have found.

Transition from TrendKite to Cision Communications Cloud

They have always gone above and beyond, making sure I had all the training and support I needed. They are friendly and check in every couple months if they haven't heard from us. They are also great at sharing new developments with us and making sure we are comfortable using new features.

Using Cision Communications Cloud

It is pretty simple to use, but there are a few quirks about the program that you have to figure out at first. Once you get familiar with the way the search query works and how to edit the dashboard it is a breeze! Their support staff is also always available to help if you can't figure it out!
