Overall Satisfaction with Cision Communications Cloud

My department is using Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite)* to measure our media mentions and the success of our PR campaigns. We had previously used Google Alerts and manual metrics to quantify how many articles our brand and faculty members were mentioned in on an annual basis. It also replaces a media contacts database we used previously.

*This review was written before Cision acquired TrendKite. TrendKite is now part of Cision Communications Cloud.


  • Captures all media coverage across online outlets
  • Boolean searches are fully customizable
  • Attentive account supervisors and support team


  • The "reports" feature could be more user-friendly and easier to customize
  • Dashboard widgets could offer more options for measurement
  • I'd like to navigate to my newsletters and searches directly from my dashboard
Cision's dashboards, reporting, and breadth of capabilities stood out to us, plus the competitive pricing and high level of customer support.
If I proactively pitch media and secure coverage of a piece of research, book, etc, I can use Cision Communications Cloud to capture all of the coverage in one place and quantify how many people it reached and how many times it was shared on social media.

If I am going to draft a proactive media pitch, I can use Cision's pinpoint contact feature to find the most impactful journalists to pitch.

Transition from TrendKite to Cision Communications Cloud

My account rep has made himself available for conference calls with my team and provided in-depth explanations the same or next business day to any question I have asked. I'm very pleased with the level of support we've received.
