Overall Satisfaction with Cision Communications Cloud

It is being used by part of my ad agency. We use it to monitor our client and their competitors. We build newsletters using the tag feature and update the client on a weekly and monthly basis regarding their share of voice against competitors.


*This review was written before Cision completed its acquisition of TrendKite. TrendKite is now part of Cision Communications Cloud.
  • Adding articles not found in Cision Communication Cloud's initial search is very easy.
  • Newsletters are very easy to build.
  • The Cision (TrendKite)* team is very responsive to emails, calls, and questions that we might have.
  • Always be improving the algorithm. Some articles not relating to client always make it through that need to be cleaned out manually. I know it is the nature of the algorithm, but it is always something to improve.
  • Newsletters do not summarize total view for the date range. It would be very useful if every tag totaled the metrics for the specified date range on newsletters.
  • I have to log on twice for some reason. My computer remembers my passwords, I log in to Cision Communications Cloud, it says there was an error, then when I log into Cision again it works. Not sure if you can fix that but it would be appreciated.
Critical Mention is good at organizing coverage, but it is more difficult to add our own coverage that was not grabbed by the algorithm. In Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite)*, it is as easy as dropping a link and the platform grabs all relevant metrics, but on Critical Mention, I have to add all of the metrics for manually added coverage, including viewership.
It is great at monitoring several sets of data. For example, a client and competitors domestic and international coverage. If an agency has multiple clients, it will be great for setting up separate dashboards for each.

The newsletters are very easy to create, read, and send to the clients.

Transition from TrendKite to Cision Communications Cloud

TrendKite is very receptive. Whether I leave an email or phone call, TrendKite is quick to respond to my message and also help on the backend to change how the algorithm functions.
