Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers
I used TrustRadius about a year ago when considering options for data analytics. I was recommending possible choices for software that enabled data visualization and was capable of doing manufacturing process control charts. I had a couple of other team members involved in the evaluations.

- To compare products
- To determine what to ask a vendor
- To validate vendor claims
- To confirm my decision
- To find evidence to support my recommendation to colleagues or my client
- To see what other users think of the product I am currently using
I searched using various key words, and also looked at the available comparable software for the ones that I found.
I look for solid descriptions of capability, problems described, and comments that give more than just general statements but describe actual capabilities.
Reviews are very helpful. They provide an easy kind of benchmark, instead of having to call customers of the software and find out directly.

- Various levels of ratings
- Pros/cons on reviews
- Ability to give feedback about how products are categorized on TrustRadius
Mostly Google searches. Sometimes these searches are beneficial, sometimes not. Reviews on TR were usually superior.
TR's reviews were usually superior to other sources.
It's often difficult to judge between products because vendors use different language or labels to provide the same capability. Having a common language or definition for comparison helps to make a solid comparison.
