Overall Satisfaction with UiPath Enterprise RPA Platform

I am automating validation of work items between BPOpen and SAP. Avoiding too much manual labor on the part of the user, freeing the time gained for more analytical and less repetitive work. UiPath is being used on the RPA Factory for meeting the needs of internal customers and providing financial savings by reducing the hours needed to carry out a specific tax process. In addition to avoiding possible human error.
  • Very easy to use, great learning curve. The UiPath academy is possibly the best portal to learn among other tools.
  • Speed to start produced verified results.
  • Excellent orchestrator for managing robots and logs.
  • Best OCR is available on the market, including Citrix automation.
  • I miss a functionality similar to the "immediate window" of Visual Studio. The Immediate window is used to debug and evaluate expressions, execute statements, and print variable values. The Immediate window evaluates expressions by building and using the currently selected project.
  • Adapting the automation to new versions of the product can be challenging.
  • It's not the most cost-friendly tool in the market.
  • The customers were happy with the low maintenance and rework rate required.
  • Reduced time to perform certain tasks compared to competitors.
  • Full-time employee reduction.
Compared to Automation Anywhere, the UiPath Academy is free to use, allowing the RPA developer to perform the training and obtain his certifications before choosing to acquire the tool. Also, Automation Anywhere requires a software development background, while UiPath is friendlier to new developers.
UiPath is suitable to any need, but it is notably better in automations that run in the background with the "'simulate click" and "send window messages," that can be used in various scenarios, as well as its integrations with plenty of excellent OCR engines. UiPath would not be appropriate on some low-budget projects, but in the long term, it has proven to be better due to the low maintenance and rework rate required.
