Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

We use the full gamut of UKG Pro applications. We moved to virtual files across our multi-unit organization and the platform allowed us to centralized and simplify onboarding, I-9 compliance, WOTC, recruiting, training/LMS, payroll, HRIS, benefits administration as well as employee engagement through interacting and group discussions and posting groups through UKG talk which also incorporates with our Survey Monkey account to do employee surveying.

Pros

  • Direct user contact in UKG Talk
  • Easy access to employee punching in/out for attendance
  • Hosting learning training
  • Payroll

Cons

  • The applicant tracking system is a little bit clunky through reporting and applicant flow. Additional custom work is needed.
  • Views through Workforce Management is not very customizable for scheduling for multi-location properties.
  • Off the top of my head, I can't provide a specific number but it has simplified personnel actions and enabled self service. There is a regular return and time savings for my employee relations specialists to be able to access information remotely including personnel files and documentation.
We have centralized all of our practices and policies besides our PIPs and compensation planning this year. We continue to build out processes through our use of People Assist as well which enables us to customize workflows and employees to initiate actions outside of our standard ticketing system. Benefits administration and payroll is simplified and we only have a few sites that share employees that we are waiting to move over to the scheduler once we can get some better custom views put into place. Being able to go to a single system makes everything much easier to manage people data.
All of the UKG data works well through our custom dashboard API that integrates with all of our sales data so we are able to utilize the data into a new HR Dashboard to look at people analytics compared to our business data and make real time business decisions in a business that margins run heavy based off of labor.
The overall usability is simple. There are a few areas that could use additional customization, primarily in the ATS side and from Workforce Management's side, the views for shared employees. We are working with our UKG reps to get these areas resolved as well as relooking at some of our own workflow setups in order to resolve these issues to make things more seamless.

The overall utilization is pretty easy to use and intuitive. Some of the customizations for recruiting and views for scheduling with multi-location properties that share employees is not user friendly though.
