Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready

We use UKG Ready for 7 EINS in a skilled nursing facility/personal care setting and use the Payroll, HR, ACA, TLM modules. We are currently implementing Advanced Scheduler to better track employees approaching OT and to avoid using another system for scheduling. It has worked very well for us over the past 3 years.

We will continue to work towards configuring other modules that need to have their set up complete
  • Relaying information to users.
  • Fairly easy to use.
  • I can see all employees in one database.
  • New enhancements have made some tasks easier to complete.
  • Pay calcs can be a bit overwhelming. I would like to see them a bit more streamlined.
  • "New" looks is not user-friending for smaller monitors. Having to scroll right or left to find an action button can be time consuming.
  • Sometime the amount of information on new releases is a bit overwhelming.
  • Would like to see "effective dating" for GL settings (the same as for pay calcs).
  • Allows multiple companies to be viewed in one database.
  • Customization of the system based on company needs.
  • Modules can be added as environment changes.
We found that UKG Ready was more cost effective and had more flexibility for our needs. Accruals while still complex are easier to manage. Payroll processing was able to be set up on a more individual basis.

Having EIN's in one database made adding a new EIN recently pretty simple. We worked with UKG Partner who did the UKG admin work, while I was able to complete many of the tasks, since managing the system is a big part of my daily routine.
The pay calc profile and shift premium settings need to be a bit more flexible in allowing overlaps in shift times and calculating time sheets correctly. Work arounds in pay calc can be cumbersome to set up especially in a pay calc that is complicated. The Advanced Scheduler seems to be a great option but would suggest that if being implemented that customer is assigned a team that has specialty in specific industry.
I able to see all settings that all are assigned to our companies and all employees. All resources needed to perform specific items are easy to use and webinars provide good information which helps me complete quarter end, year end, ACA reporting, PBJ filing and preparation of multiple audits. Reports, once set up, can be modified and saved.
The My Learning is helpful but has a lot of choices and can be a bit overwhelming. Webinars are helpful and the fact that they can be viewed on demand takes the stress of trying to keep a schedule open. The quarter and year end checklists are very helpful. The groups are helpful and also have files that can be a great resource.
Once a user, particularly an admin, becomes familiar with all the aspects of the system, it becomes easier to manage and troubleshoot.
We recently implements three new programs and were able to set up reports that could be sent to SFTP sites via the external integration which save me a lot of time from having to upload several files.

Well suited for multiple EINs not only for administrative use but also the fact security can be set for multiple user levels. The multiple modules that are available can also be tailored for company specific uses. It does take some extensive setup at implementation.

Recently had an issue with a pay calc for a new EIN and I was in a panic. I received a call almost immediately to help walk through the issues. Fortunately we were able to get it fixed prior to the payroll submission deadline and I am able to go back and review the previous pay period for errors.

Also, when we installed the two clocks at the new EIN, I didn't have much experience with clocks, but the support person walked me through how enter the terminals in the system, explained what I needed when actually configuring the clocks and provided support when there was an issue with one of the clocks not working correctly.
Overall, the support team is very responsive and on most occasions, I talk to the same reps which is nice because then we have a rapport and they know what I need.

Yes - It works pretty well and since it mirrors the desktop version it is simple to follow and find the items needed. I am able to submit payroll via the mobile app if I am not able to be at my office computer.
