Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro
We use UltiPro to manage employee data and run payroll. Using UltiPro reduces our HR team's workload since it makes us less responsible for data entry and answering employee questions. Employees across the organization can update their personal contact details, tax withholding, and direct deposit information. They can also review their job and comp details, pay statements, and historical job changes. We also use UltiPro company-wide to complete performance reviews and development plans, so it's a great resource for all job-related activities.
UltiPro has also reduced our HRIS workload through the BI reporting and system interface functionalities. We can create and share BI reports and have set up many automated interfaces, which has reduced the number of one-off reporting requests and system user/demographic updates we previously provided to teams across the organization.
Pros
- Payroll -- easier reconciliation and pay run processes than other systems we've used.
- Reporting -- can create, customize, and share almost any report we've ever needed to use, including some more complex calculations and qualifiers.
Cons
- Processes often require accessing several different sections of UltiPro. For example, to hire a new employee you need to remember to go to a few different pages to enter job details, access rules, pay information, etc.; having all of these items in one place or providing a checklist in the system to follow would be very helpful.
- Not very flexible in terms of customizing the tools to our company's needs. We have had issues trying to leverage the compensation, reviews, and org chart functionality to fit our specific processes and preferences.
