Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

We serve 26 companies (2 control groups). All companies use Ultipro's Time Management and Onboarding services and the payroll department uses Core as well as trains all managers on just what they need to use. UltiPro has saved us a tremendous amount of time in everything payroll and benefit related. It is very user friendly and even our most technically challenged managers are having a lot of success and positive feedback. The tours throughout the product are very useful when you just need a little reminder on how to do anything.

Pros

  • Frees up managers' time to interact more with customers and other employees.
  • The report writer is in plain English and has also saved the payroll department a lot of time as well as giving us the ability to quickly respond to outside requests for information.

Cons

  • We would like to have our actual quarterly and year end returns sooner. Right now we receive the returns approximately 5 weeks after the quarter has ended.
  • Sometimes when a person is rehired there are issues with their account being reactivated and we will have to send it in to support to fix the background.
Ultipro is well suited for large companies and any company that has union contracts or any type of complicated payroll. It is very customizable so it will do well with any industry. Companies that are growing would also find this software most appealing as it can quickly adjust to the growth.

UltiPro Training

  • Online training
The training package is extensive. There is training on absolutely everything that Ultipro can do. The instructors take their time to fully explain everything and answer all questions. You are also able to either print or save the training material. The training materials include screenshots as well as step by step instruction. Best of all, a lot of the training counts towards recertification for CPPs.

Configuring UltiPro

You will definitely need your HR and Payroll personnel to be very comfortable with technology with this software. There is so much that can be done that if your professionals are not comfortable with computers can cause issues and frustration.

UltiPro Support

The support for Ultipro is amazing. Our representatives are very responsive and usually have any issue resolved within 1 business day. They are patient and will explain verbally as well as follow up with an email exactly what was done and how we can avoid the issue. They also explain what we can do on our end to fix the issue ourselves in the future if we want to, which I prefer.

UltiPro Reliability

The report writer is easy to use amd understand. You are able to build a variety of reports using graphs, pie charts, pivot tables etc. They complete quickly and are easy to adjust. The best part are the training programs built into Ultipro so that you can make full use of the repprting tool.
