Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro
Every employee at our organization has an Ultipro account to access human resources tools and documents instantly. In addition to being able to view pay statements, w-2s, etc., we also use this platform to enroll in our benefits electronically, request time off and even provide year-end reviews for our co-workers. Ultipro is really a one-stop shop for everything HR and we still haven’t even used all of its features!
- I love how easy it is to request time off. No awkward conversations with your boss. Just submit the request, it comes to their email and their response will come to your email as well.
- Having pay statements available instantly has made my personal life much easier than others. For example, I purchased a car and got a new apartment a few months ago. Providing proof of income and identity were so easy simply because I could log into Ultipro and bring up pay statements or a W-2 in seconds. No paper. No hassle.
- Year-end reviews are super easy with Ultipro. I submitted a review of one of my colleagues and my colleagues are able to review me electronically. No meetings needed.
- Direct deposit has never been faster for me. When I first started at my company, I expected to wait 2 pay periods (4 weeks) until my first check, but I was paid in 2 weeks! About a year later, I had to change my direct deposit account info when I decided to switch banks. I kept my old account open after adding my new direct deposit info just in case it took a few pay periods to update to my new account. But I didn’t have to do that. My very next pay check was deposited to my new account.
- When printing a pay statement at one point, there was an option to display my social security number. I chose to display it because I needed it to provide both proof of identity and employment for a new apartment. But no matter how many times I selected “display social security number”, it never printed with it. I’m not sure if this is a glitch or if this feature was taken away. But this was just a tiny nuisance.
- I have often had login issues on Ultipro. If I forget my password, there are security questions that need to be answered. I use the same security questions and answers for nearly every profile I have and for some reason, Ultipro always says that my answers are wrong. And after a few attempts, you’re locked out of your account and forced to change the password. This can be a bother at times if you really need information.
- There are a few glitches in the system. For example, I have to different menu buttons that display the same things. But this is a very, very minor issue.

These outcomes have definitely been achieved. The platform saves time and money (HR labor), it it also provides convenience with all of its self-service features for employees. It’s something that positively impacts both the professional and personal lives of employees.
I used Checkpoint HR prior to using Ultipro and honestly, I don’t see a difference in the self-service areas of the portal. If you’re just looking for a convenient way for all employees to access their files, Checkpoint HR and Ultipro are 99% the same - even down to the interface.
