Overall Satisfaction with Vidyard

We use Vidyard as a media hosting site. What has us primairly interested in Vidyard is two-fold. First of all, Vidyard has a very robust set of analytics. The site provides detailed information as to which members of your audience are watching your media. It provides detailed information as to how long each audience member is focused on the video, what the drop off rate is over time, and who simply clicked through to various points in the video clip. What is also helpful is knowing what regions of the world your audience hails from and what areas of the video are most viewed and most popular. This helps us understand our audience better and focus on what works for the future.

The user interface and ease of use is another great selling point to the site. It's quite intuitive in its simplicity. The learning curve is rather simple and painless for those users not as tech savvy.
  • Easy of use and simple user interface make the learning curve of Vidyard an easy task. This gets you up and running quickly.
  • The analytics of Vidyard have been extremely useful, especially when looking to understand your audience's attention span and interests.
  • Customization of the video player is simple, easy, and makes for good seamless integration with our company's branding.
  • I would like Vidyard to have the power to auto-scale the video window size when loaded on different platforms like laptops, phones, and tablets.
  • The pop-out windows offset the center alignment of the video. This looks bad aesthetically.
  • It is too soon to tell what our ROI is at this point as we have just started using Vidyard.
  • Overall, Vidyard looks like a win for us as we have been quite thrilled with the analytic side of the system.
  • Security is a question and the inability to add security and passwords has us using Vimeo for some purposes.
Vidyard has its pros and cons. Vimeo has name recognition and security features we like but Vidyard has a great set of tools for analyzing user interactions. I have a feeling we'll be using Vidyard for our media hosting and analytics for the foreseeable future.
Vidyard has been great for our purposes of understanding the video absorbtion trends of our national audience. Knowing who's clicking through a video and who's watching it from start to end has been quite useful in helping us determine what is working and what needs to be improved upon for future projects.
