Overall Satisfaction with Visier People
We use Visier People to house and display all of our people data. We have now expanded our Visier data from just teammate and movement data to include all TA , compensation, and L&D data, and soon to include engagement data. This has allowed for our end users to really own and use their data themselves, opening capacity on my team to do real analysis. Visier People also is a great tool for visualization; allowing for many different types of charts + different ways to customize them, and easy ways for all users to create analyses to reference in the future.
Pros
- Data visualization
- Ease of customization
- ways to capture and reference charts for future use
Cons
- more customization options for tables -- more easy calculations like total (add) or average
- way to create custom 'view details' list for individual user groups -- we have a lot of attributes in our detailed export and it would be nice to be able to create a condensed list for each different type of user group
- Way to see which charts in an analysis are using different dimension -- similar to how we can see which dimensions are being used throughout the analysis, it would be nice to see by dimension, which charts are using each. This would make it much easier to update analyses when we need to create a new version of a dimension
- Has allowed for my team (total of 11) to stop pulling and creating reports, and doing actual analysis, benefitting the overall business
- has allowed our TA partners to better track their data, giving them more time to react to situations and make changes to better outcomes
- Created a seamless process for our highest level talent reviews, cutting a process from 4 months to 1, and a project team from 5 to 2.
Tableau was much slower than Visier People when trying to add or change filters, especially for the amount of data we were visualizing. It was good for housing data/creating different tables, but not good for visualization. we could create very basic charts in our dashboards, but you could not customize them or easily dig into the data that is feeding the charts. It was also not as sleek and very clunky, so users did not enjoy the platform.
