Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

We are using it across our organization to protect and RD web app. We also use it on select desktops to prevent login to unauthorized stations. For us, the peace of mind being able to add another layer of security even to our internal stack really makes it worthwhile for us. We also are a managed service provider and we thoroughly test all of the products we recommend.

  • Expanded supported applications (Microsoft in particular)
  • It's allowed us to retain our internal RDS infrastructure without feeling like we are super vulnerable.
  • It's allowed our executives to protect their privileged information.
We are WatchGuard partners so we will lean to fully integrated applications rather than adding another platform to our stack. We looked at Duo but it didn't seem to fit our pricing model or integrate with our on-premise applications the way that AuthPoint did. We also prefer working directly with the US-based support team at WatchGuard.
We have certainly benefited from Authpoint being a cloud-based service. We like not having to be dependent on hardware availability especially during hurricane season. We have been able to reset authentication tokens or give users additional access remotely easily and quickly. This is a game-changer for our organization.
We have had numerous support cases with WatchGuard and their US based support team. In each and every interaction we are able to get directly to the help we need without having to sit on hold for an indeterminate amount of time. Once we talk with an engineer or support personnel they are able to resolve our issues quickly and provide additional information so we can avoid pitfalls in the future.

With Authpoint being a cloud based service everything we do is through the browser. That being the case it's very user friendly, each step is quick to accomplish and we are able to scale this quickly without having to add additional hardware or cumbersome application installation. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to add an additional layer of security to your network.
Recommended for anyone using an internal application that they are hosting and need enterprise multi-factor authentication without having to host it in someone else's cloud. It's well suited for any high-level executives that want to restrict access to their desktop or privileged information. For cloud based applications, it's less suited as they aren't fully supported on some of the major vendors.
