Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

We use AuthPoint to meet compliance and security requirements for our clients. Using AuthPoint streamlines MFA for network equipment and windows devices. LDAP intergration allows for an easy way to authenticate windows domains.

Pros

  • Windows mfa
  • Single MFA platform to manage the entire WG infrastructure.
  • LDAP integration for on premise domains

Cons

  • Windows 2016-2019 authentication is finicky and WG knows about the issues. DUO on the other hand works great!
  • Customizable timeouts and failed push notifications.
  • Overall WG AuthPoint has no negative impact for us.
  • Clients feel confident their network and privileged accounts are secured.
The dark web report was discontinued, however it was a useful scan to have. looking forward to its replacement.

The value isn't in time saving for us. If anything MFA and deploying a solution like this takes time. the secuirty advantages are well worth the time.
It can be quickly used to check for leaked passwords when suspicious activity occurs.
WG offers some of the best network equipment, it's a no brainer to wrap it all together.
