Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We deploy WatchGaurd solutions to many of the customers we manage and monitor, from end to end, for their network infrastructure. The single-pane glass of management via the web portal is a priceless feature, which makes troubleshooting issues a lot easier.

Pros and Cons

Ease of configuration.
Ease of deployment.
Ease of management.

It would nice to have CLI access through the web GUI.

Return on Investment

I have nothing negative to state regarding the use of WatchGuard solutions. The initial investment in the solution is minimal, compared to the time and money you save when troubleshooting an issue and getting support from Tech support.

We worked with our local Sales and Technical folks assigned to our company. We are very happy with the constant communication and initiative to get involved with the deals we present to them.

Usability

I gave it a 9 because there is no "perfect" device in the market. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Implementation Rating

The ease of implementation is priceless.

WatchGuard Network Security Packaging and Licensing

I have to say that WatchGuard licensing is the easiest to understand and deploy compared to other vendors.

Alternatives Considered

Fortinet FortiGate and Cisco ASA

WatchGuard, compared to the two vendors listed, is a lot easier to configure and deploy. Tech support is second to none.

Likelihood to Recommend

WatchGuard solutions fit into any environment due to all the options of hardware and virtual they provide. No matter how big or how small, you can, with confidence, deploy a WatchGuard solution.
