Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Webex Meetings for our external meetings, it works perfectly fine to handle our external customers in handling calls or screen sharing session. Breakout session and real-time translations are the great help. Excellent media quality on both Android and iOS phone users are of great advantage too. Post-meeting summary notifications help a lot with preparing minutes.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Teams, Slack, Skype for Business (formerly Lync) and now part of Microsoft Teams

File sharing over the collaboration app, Webex Meetings have outweighed them all. Encryption is never optional when it comes to Webex Meetings, so it's highly secure compared to the rest. The only thing that is lacking with Webex Meetings compared to the rest is that Webex Meetings does not support many integrations compared to Teams.

Reliability and Availability

There are rarely any outages that we have seen or come across using Cisco Webex Meetings. Any maintenance or planned outage is done considering less or no impact to business which is done in non-business hours. A very good calendar is maintained to help users plan for any outages or regular maintenance.

Scalability

Integrations are a bit of a problem for Cisco Webex Meetings. Apart from that Cisco Webex Meetings is a highly scalable and highly available Cisco product. It's very flexible to deploy across various ends in an organization & the deployment is very smooth and is done seamlessly. I really enjoy the overall scalability of this product.

Performance

Likewise, Cisco Webex Meetings is highly available and highly scalable, this product's performance is good too. The video quality of the Cisco Webex Meetings does not match that of Teams or other apps but that's something which can be improved by Cisco to enhance the over all performance of this product.

Webex Meetings is perfectly suited to handle crowds of participants. You have good control over your participants. You can use real-time translations for over 100 languages so you can interact with participants of different backgrounds. Being a host you can mute any participant and also while speaking if there are any background noises you can eliminate them as well.
