Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

We would use Webex Meetings to hold conference calls and conduct training sessions. Having employees located across the United States, it was cost prohibitive to fly trainers or employees to different cities for training. Webex Meetings allowed us to conduct our training sessions and corporate meetings virtually. Other members of the business also used Webex Meetings as a daily communication tool.

Pros

  • The chat function was a useful feature
  • Calls were easy to make

Cons

  • The startup process was very slow, and the UI was difficult to navigate
  • Call quality was routinely poor
  • The program always wanted to be the most prominent program on your computer, so it always pushed itself to the front and took processing power away from other system functions
  • It is cost-effective
  • It does not provide a great deal of versatility
The main challenges we faced when going remote/hybrid were ensuring everybody had reliable Internet access. We were relatively comfortable with everybody handling the remote aspect, as some of our agents already worked remotely 2 days per week. But, those colleagues that preferred to come to the office 5 days per week often lacked reliable Internet connections that would accommodate meeting and calling virtually.
One of the main reasons we use Cisco Webex Meetings is it allows us to connect using conference calling rather seamlessly. We can provide our colleagues as well as any of our customers with their credentials, and we connect with them with ease. It makes connecting with people outside of our organization much easier than with Teams.
One of the main things that we have experienced in adapting to a hybrid/remote working model is that it can be difficult ensuring that all of our colleagues are working to their fullest potential. We have developed tools to be able to monitor and enforce this without stepping on too many toes and making sure that our colleagues still enjoy their jobs.
Teams and Zoom provide much greater functionality than Webex Meetings at this point. They also feel easier to use and are not as intrusive as Webex Meetings. In regards to video and call quality, using the same wi-fi network, Webex Meetings finishes last between the three options mentioned. The call quality just isn't as good, and calls drop more often with Webex Meetings.

Do you think Webex Meetings delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Webex Meetings's feature set?

No

Did Webex Meetings live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Webex Meetings go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex Meetings again?

No

If you are looking for a communication tool that is not Microsoft Teams or Zoom, then Webex Meetings would probably be the next best choice. It is a decent program that isn't really the best at any one thing, and does most things moderately well. The problem with Webex Meetings is that all of the other digital communication tools have done a great deal to improve the way they work, and it just seems like Webex Meetings hasn't.
