Overall Satisfaction with Webexpenses

We were better off printing off credit card statements and getting people to provide hard copy receipts. Very slow loading program, calculates foreign exchange rates incorrectly, reporting produces information different to what is recognised in the system itself. Regularly have to wait months for a response to an email or support ticket. Don't waste your time with this product.

Pros

  • Messes up reporting
  • Miscalculates exchange rates
  • Leaves automated fields blank
  • Abandons you as soon as you start paying for the product

Cons

  • It shouldn't take 60 seconds to load a page, on every page.
  • It shouldn't take 60+ days to get a response to a basic support ticket
  • It should be able to use logic to calculate two numbers noted in it's system, rather than pulling a completely different figure
  • It has wasted precious time of many employees
  • It has cost us a money to implement, but has not been fruitful
  • It has regularly thrown out reporting numbers, and made us backtrack to correct the errors
I give it a 1 because 0 is not an option. I can't believe how poorly this program operates. The most concerning point is the program containing data that it can't even export correctly for reporting or posting purposes. Every staff member at my company that has used this has commented at how slow the program runs, and that it can take upwards of an hour to process a report that would take 5-10 minutes in Concur.
What support?
Only benefit has been a better audit trail. Everything else has been more time consuming.
Requirements were to correctly process the amounts spent on credit cards. This does not report correct values. A cleaner audit trail was the other objective which has been achieved, though the most basic function of this program does not work.
Poorly. We will be looking at leaving Webexpenses for Concur in coming months. It will be nice to use a program that functions correctly and achieves the goals.

If time is important to you, Webexpenses is a bad choice. If you use multiple currencies, this does not work. If something goes wrong and you don't know code well enough to fix the product yourself, this is not the product for you. If your company uses credit cards, find a better product.
