Overall Satisfaction with Webexpenses

I use Webexpenses to submit my monthly expenses and get them approved by my manager. Previously we had used an excel sheet which differed depending on the particular office you worked which went against our drive to standardize processes nationally. Webexpenses also provides greater visibility on the status of my submitted expenses and allows me track my expenses per month easier.

Pros

  • Clearly shows status of submitted expenses
  • Clearly shows total expenses for a year
  • Easy to add receipts for expenses

Cons

  • When you click add receipts after putting the details of your expense, you get the impression that you have done something incorrect from the prompt that you receive
  • Two options for adding receipts can confuse people when training them on how to use
  • An easy to access FAQ would be helpful
  • Encourages quick turn around on approval for expenses
  • Auditing visibility in a way that was not previously feasible
  • Standardized process for whole company
I found it very simple to use. I noticed some individuals who are less computer literate did initially need some help but were quick to pick it up. The interface is clean and only has relevant information shown. Status tracking is easy to find and color coded for increased visibility.

For a large organization with many people who need to have their expenses reviewed, Webexpenses is practical as you can be sure your manager has received your expenses. It also embeds visibility for accounting . For a very small organization it may not be required but could still be used well.
