Overall Satisfaction with Widen

Primary use is for the management of vector-based artwork. The Acquia DAM (Widen) platform has performed adequately for organizing and searching assets.
  • Broad availability of user roles and capabilities and access levels
  • Multiple downloadable formats for assets
  • The previous update removed the ability to adjust the size of the thumbnail on search pages so you can see fewer/larger or more/smaller thumbnails. This was a downgrade in function.
  • Search UI can be confusing and takes getting used to
  • Easy searching for assets
  • Quick downloads and uploads
  • Easier access to assets to muliple users
Mainly concerned with keeping enough space available for continued uploads of new assets.
Response to issues has been mostly positive. Issues have been investigated and resolved most of the time in a fairly timely manner.
Acquia DAM (Widen) has enabled greater ease of access to assets from multiple office locations.

Do you think Acquia DAM (Widen) delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Acquia DAM (Widen)'s feature set?

Yes

Did Acquia DAM (Widen) live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Acquia DAM (Widen) go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Acquia DAM (Widen) again?

Yes

The Acquia DAM (Widen) platform is well suited if you have a need to organize a large number of assets and have a talented person available to manage the users and data. It is not super user-friendly and not for someone who wants a simple/streamlined experience. It does take some very active and involved management to get the most from it.
