Overall Satisfaction with Acquia DAM (Widen)

We use Acquia DAM (Widen) as a cloud library through which we feed our online platforms with material and visuals in real-time. The solution allows us to feed all channels with the most updated material fast because we don't need to update each platform separately. It also allows the company to have one, online library to quickly track material and download them.

Pros

  • Online links that open in browser
  • Easy bundling in online platforms
  • Friendly user experience

Cons

  • The search of items on the cloud is not too advanced. We need to type the exact name of the asset in search and still receive too many results.
  • The upload of one asset can be too time consuming and some fields are duplicated without clear purpose.
  • The user experience in smaller screens.
  • ROI in human resources and time
  • Optimed asset recovery and update for lifecycle management
  • Cross functional asset sharing for streamlined launches
I haven't personally used the Acquia DAM (Widen) support as we have internal specialists on this. However, my colleagues indicated in the past that it is easy to contact and get support.
No other similar solutions tried in our company. But I made an online research and found out that Canto is a great digital asset management system for sharing files with external parties, that is extremely important to us.

It works when trying to upload one asset on multiple platforms so we dont need to upload or later update separately. It doesn't work so good with the search functionality and the group uploads of assets can be too much time consuming.
