Overall Satisfaction with Workday Adaptive Planning
[Workday Adaptive Planning is used] as the primary tool for budgeting and forecasting for the Finance department. Also used to track KPIs across the organization. All comparisons vs a budget are done with Adaptive.
Reporting is done using the office connect tool in both Excel and PowerPoint. Reporting is done from the board level to the individual department level.
- Organizes a large amount of data in a very accessible way.
- Easy to change or modify formulas
- Easy to learn and implement.
- Formatting and display options for dashboards are limited.
- Scenario planning is hard to carry from one version to the next.
- Reporting has limited formatting options.
- Allows us to do a detailed forecast with minimal staffing.
- Quicker turnaround time on board reporting
- Increased the number of KPIs we can track.

We did some analysis of Anaplan, but it seemed they were built for much bigger companies. It did not seem like we could implement and maintain Anaplan without significant IT support, which was one of the main goals of the project. Anaplan did seem like it could have more capabilities, but the amount of work we would have to do to successfully set up and maintain the system seemed extensive and hard to achieve.
