- Review and approve digital work
- Govern compliance workflows
We integrated workflow into our marketing campaign process to sit at the forefront of the process to make sure that our end users were setting up campaigns to enable full closed loop reporting for all campaigns, ensuring every lead was being captured with all the campaign meta data. We used the workfront API to connect it to our marketing automation systems.
Pros
- Manages workflows.
- Supports collaboration of users.
- Integrates with our current systems.
Cons
- API support and documentation.
- Partners integrating with Workfront.
- Users willing to share the interesting integrations they have built and how others can leverage these features too.
- It has helped us with our campaign setup and workflows to ensure that people were setting things up correctly which was a human problem that we fixed with Workfront.
- Collaboration.
- A Rosetta Stone for all campaign meta data as a single point of reference for all users.
- A more efficient way to work with multiple teams with multiple ingredients to a project.
At the time Workfront was the only solution that had the functionality of managing workflows and the ability to integrate with the tools that lacked the functionality we needed. We saw it as the clear winner because of the openness and configurability that we sought in a solution. We knew we were blazing trails by being the first organization to leverage a tool to perform these tasks and it is doing well at it..
We are slowly migrating all groups of users to Workfront for the added collaboration that becomes available through the network effect. Workfront really shines when everyone both internal and external is able to take advantage and collaborate. We have integrated outside vendors and partners and the functionality is great for our workflows. The bigger thing that we have done is integrate our marketing automation and CRM system with Workfront.
Early on we used professional services to help us get set up and up to speed. It was helpful to learn how the system could be set up because there are many different ways to configure the system, some good, some gooder, and some that are just bad! Having someone that truly understands what the tool can do and the pros/cons was necessary to set things up correctly the first time.
