Overall Satisfaction with Zerto
We use Zerto to replicate our On-prem VMware datacenter to Azure for DR purposes. We have also used it plenty to consolidate our data centers as well as migrate VMs from disjoined organizations during acquisitions.
- Migrate from disjoined datacenters
- Replicate to Azure
- Help in crypto recovery
- Improved backup component. Would love to use Zerto for overall backup product but not quite there yet.
- Automatic minimum recommendations for Azure. Pain in the butt trying to find the right VM size to fit an onprem VM into Azure.
- Provide more guidance on proper setup.
- Piece of mind for DR situation. Used once during initial setup to get our domain back online after a crypto event (before we fully had [a] chance to set everything up).
- Fairly transparent to performance. Just does it thing and works.
- Negative: During outage window takes a long time to catch up on sync.
