Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As we are health care industry, we mostly rely on effective communication for making our operations successful and trouble free, Hence We are using Zoom for our Day to Day meetings as most of the staff are working from Home due to COVID-19 pandemic and it is used for whole organization, even most of our financial committee, internal audit committee and board of governors meetings are being held on zoom.

Pros and Cons

Remarkable for group video conferences feature.
Screen sharing and recording features: Both are very easy to use even for basic users.
Join a meeting is very easy and with just a single click, participants can join meetings easily.
Creation of meetings is very simple.
Creation of Zoom Rooms for meetings is a nice and important feature of Zoom.

Meeting controls are limited, Join as "View only" setting is available in webinars only.
When it comes to securing the meeting.
Waiting room customization is very basic.

We devised our specifications and evaluated the following products and Zoom has most of the features that we required for our business. The most prominent and frequently used features among our organization is breakout rooms. This minimizes the urgency to buy multiple licenses and promotes the use of a minimum number of licenses to perform the same task that requires multiple licenses on other products. The other reason was the cost of each license is very minimal for Zoom as compared to other products. The post-meeting reports and the inbuilt compression and decompression feature of Zoom are superior when it comes to the low bandwidth network that is common in our region.

Zoom is ideal for medium to large organizations. The breakout room options are very useful when it comes to segregating a single meeting into multiple meetings. We create breakout rooms and transfer participants based on naming conventions. This approach is very useful. We've managed to optimize the use of licenses for multiple meetings. When it comes to security features, it's difficult to manage meeting security on breakout rooms, as the security setting for each breakout room is different. For example, if we apply security settings to the main room, it would be applicable to the main room only. For each breakout room, we have to manually go and apply security settings for chat, emojis, mic control, etc. or the default settings will be applied.
