Overall Satisfaction with Zoom

I use Zoom for my personal purposes for communication with customers and team. The main goal of use of Zoom is need of unified tool for communications with remote teams and customers. Zoom solves these problems and gives possiblity to communicate from any device: laptop, tablet or smartphone. Even if users don't have [the] Zoom app installed on their device they can still use it from web-app which requires no installation or plugins.

Pros

  • Extended functions compared to other apps

Cons

  • Improved security features
  • Wider spectre of integrations with other IT-tools
  • Free of use for customers who use it in non-business subscriptions
  • No time limit for meetings
  • No additional investments for implementation
Google Meet compared to Zoom has fewer functions, no whiteboard, no Q&A section, no possibility to grant screen sharing permission to other tools. But instead of it, Google Meet delivered together with other G-Suite products and tools so it has deeper integration possibilities with Google toolkit despite its less functionality.

Most well suited for meetings on a regular or occasional basis with remote teams, learning with groups of any scale, online events, or any other activities which requires communication with remote participants.

The least appropriate scenario where Zoom can be useful is transferring of confidential information due to lack of security capabilities.
