Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace

We use Zoom Workplace for our phone system, our video conferencing platform, and our instant messaging platform within our team. All employees have an account and we sometimes assign basic users as well to have access to our team chat.

Pros

  • We appreciate the phone system and that we can have calls transferred to employees not located in office.
  • The team chat feature is a great way to have quick communication.
  • The new AI features are helping with meeting minutes.

Cons

  • Our renewal of our contract was an absolutely horrible experience. The customer service needs to be improved if we are going to choose to stay.
  • Zoom Workplace does not offer a competitive nonprofit discount. It’s a great platform but has placed significant burden on our budget this year.
  • The follow up on resolving issues is very below average. I have never had an experience where I can only speak to some parts of a team. When I have tried to resolve big issues, I have not been able to contact via phone members of the team that were handling our request.
  • We likely won’t renew with Zoom Workplace with our contract based on our most recent customer service experiences overall. Very very poor customer service and it feels like because the product is high quality, they expect people to just deal with bad customer service.
  • Large burden on our budget.
  • Highly effective quick team communication with the chat feature.
  • High functioning phone system.

Zoom Workplace had a better phone system from our understanding currently. Other features are relatively comparable

It’s very expensive but it functions very well. The updates are frequent and I appreciate that. The customer service is some of the worst I’ve ever dealt with so that’s why I really would only be 50% likely to recommend it. Additionally, we are an influencer nonprofit in our area and because of the lack of competitive nonprofit discounts, I wouldn’t recommend Zoom Workplace to another nonprofit partner.
